Psychotherapy

Therapy is available for anxiety, depression and many impulsive behaviours using cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), psychoanalytic and systemic approaches. 'Skype' consultation over the internet and telephone coaching is also available in some circumstances.

Individual psychological assessments are offered to help people understand how their personality, current circumstances and childhood experiences have formed their mental health issues. Psycholgical assessments can be less stigmatising than a diagnosis. Psychological assessments can be used to indicate whether therapy is the best option for you or if another form of help may be appropriate (e.g. social/community support, medication or a referral to another specialist).

Sometimes, a psychological assessments suggests that you don't need to spend money and time on therapy at all!
